Throughout the year the Saskatoon Sports Council in partnership with White Buffalo Youth Lodge offers an opportunity to inner city youth to sample a wide variety of sports at its Sports Sampler Day. The Sport Sampler Day is usually offered on an inservice day when students are not in school. Last year the Sport Sampler Day Camp was held on February 25th, 2011 at White Buffalo Youth Lodge. Participants were recruited from surrounding community schools as well as from White Buffalo Youth Lodge. The program included 3 different sports for participants to try throughout the day. The sports offered were soccer, badminton, and curling. Over 40 youth participated in the program; transportation and lunches were provided.
